Mommy 101 Our Mother-Baby Care Center also offers the following education classes to help you prepare for the birth of your new baby.
Free Childbirth Classes
Join us for a series of four classes taught by our Mother-Baby RNs on Saturday mornings or Thursday evenings in the Oncology Conference Room. Classes include discussions on coping with the discomforts of pregnancy, stages of labor, relaxation and breathing techniques, medication choices, information on cesarean births and postpartum information. Early parenting information and a tour of the Mother-Baby Care Center are also included. To register, call (765) 983-3020. Most physicians who provide prenatal care also have registration forms in their offices. Class is open to expectant mothers and their birthing coaches (expectant father, expectant grandparent, friend, etc.)
Free Breastfeeding Class
Ease your worries about breastfeeding with our free educational class. Taught by our trained OB nurses, this class is held monthly on the third Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Oncology Conference Room. Expectant and new mothers with their support person are welcome. This class should be attended in the 7th or 8th month of pregnancy. Call the Mother Baby Care Center at (765) 983-3020 to register.
