Reid psychiatric program expands services for geriatric patients

When an elderly parent or spouse experiences mental illness, the entire family can be affected. Reid’s newly expanded geropsychiatric program can help, providing help and understanding to patients and their loved ones.

Reid to host program about wellness check-ups on May 20

Community members can learn about the importance of annual wellness check-up when they attend “Education+Action=Outcomes,” a special presentation at Reid Hospital on Monday, May 20. This presentation, part of an ongoing series, will be from 6 to 7 p.m. in Lingle Auditorium.

Reid Hospital Joint & Spine Center receives Blue Distinction Center designation

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indiana has named Reid’s Joint & Spine Center as a Blue Distinction Center for Knee & Hip Replacement and a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery. The Blue Distinction Centers for Specialty Care® Program is a national designation awarded by Blue Cross and Blue Shield companies to medical facilities that have demonstrated expertise in delivering quality specialty care. The program recently expanded to include more robust quality measures focused on improved patient health and safety.

Reid Physician Associates (RPA) is an entity of Reid Hospital offering a network of Primary Care and Specialty physicians to service Wayne County and the surrounding regional Indiana and Ohio counties.
