Pediatrics and Internal Medicine

In 1997, The Pediatric Center of Richmond, Inc, merged with Primary Care Associates to offer primary health care for patients of all ages; especially for entire families. In 2008, the Pediatric Center of Richmond, Inc, became part of Reid Physician Associate.

Our Services

Pediatric & Internal Medicine Center provides medical care in our office and inpatient medical coverage at Reid Hospital and Health Care Services, in Richmond. In our office, we have a lab that offers phlebotomy and other services for your convenience.

The physician staff is comprised of 7 physicians, 1 who is trained in both pediatrics and internal medicine, two general internists, and 4 pediatricians. In addition to the physicians, 3 nurse practitioners provides services in our office.

Pediatricians are trained to provide comprehensive care for children, including preventative care. Children often present different symptoms than adults; they can also have different diseases. They may need different prescriptions or treatments than adults. Pediatricians are uniquely trained to recognize the importance of these differences with adolescents, young children, and newborns.

An Internal Medicine physician (also called an "Internist") specializes in the primary care of adults. An Internist's training is both broad and deep. They are equipped to deal with whatever problem the patient brings; no matter how common or rare, or how simple or complex. Internists care for the whole patient-disease prevention, promotion of health, as well as puzzling, chronic and multiple illnesses.
