Health care crisis, high unemployment demand tightened financial policies at Reid Hospital

Rising unemployment, Medicaid reductions, slated cuts to Medicare from health care reform and increasing numbers of people unable or sometimes unwilling to pay for services have forced Reid Hospital to tighten financial policies to ensure fairness and good stewardship.

3 Reid Community Benefit grants announced

Three organizations have received grants to improve community health and fitness from the Reid Hospital & Health Care Services Community Benefit committee.

Reid plans booth at Darke County Fair

Patrons of this year’s Darke County Fair will be able to collect wellness tips, gather medical information and find informed comment at the Reid Hospital & Health Care Services booth, which will also offer daily door prizes.

Reid Babies

Reid Babies is a popular service provided by the Mother-Baby Care Center. Newborn photos can be posted right here on our site along with information supplied by their parents. Reid Babies allows friends and family, near or far, to experience the joy of the newborn.

New Arrival portraits are provided by Red Barn Photography. The portrait studio is located directly across from the nurse's station in the Mother-Baby Care Unit. Red Barn Photography's style of newborn portraiture is simple and elegant. Dressing your baby up for the session is not necessary, as they prefer to focus on the baby's tiny features.

Although this is a free service we offer to all parents, some parents choose not to participate. Posted baby pictures are accessible for two years.
